Branch Roles

  • The Branch Manager is responsible for leading all daily operations of a Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. store—ensuring exceptional guest experience, strong team culture, and flawless execution of Qamaria’s brand standards. This role safeguards Qamaria’s mission of “enriching lives globally through Yemeni coffee” by upholding hospitality, quality, and operational excellence in every interaction, every shift, every cup.

    The Branch Manager ensures the store remains profitable, efficient, safe, and deeply connected to the community it serves.

    Reporting Structure

    Reports to: Branch Owner/Franchisee

    Supervises: Shift Leads, Baristas, Cashiers, and Support Staff

    Decision Rights / Authority

    • Leads all store-level operational decisions

    • Responsible for scheduling, performance management, team coaching

    • Recommends hires, promotions, and disciplinary actions

    • Controls daily cash management and inventory execution

    • Approves workflow changes during shifts (line management, station adjustments, etc.)

    Final personnel approval remains with Operations Leadership.

    Primary Objectives

    • Deliver a strong, consistent Qamaria guest experience

    • Build, train, and lead a high-performing team

    • Maintain operational excellence, cleanliness, and compliance

    • Achieve sales, labor, and cost targets

    • Serve as the cultural and operational ambassador of the brand locally

    Core Responsibilities

    1. Daily Store Operations

    • Oversee all opening and closing duties

    • Ensure recipe accuracy, quality control, and beverage consistency

    • Manage line flow, ticket times, and service speed

    • Handle escalated guest concerns professionally

    • Conduct daily walk-throughs to check cleanliness, organization, and station readiness

    2. Team Leadership & Development

    • Recruit and onboard new staff

    • Train team members on recipes, hospitality, standards, and equipment

    • Conduct coaching, evaluations, and corrective actions

    • Lead pre-shift meetings to align priorities and goals

    • Create a positive culture built on accountability, support, and communication

    3. Customer Experience & Brand Hospitality

    • Monitor guest satisfaction through feedback, reviews, and direct interactions

    • Resolve issues with empathy and operational judgment

    • Support local marketing initiatives and community relationships

    4. Financial & Inventory Management

    • Manage labor within allocated budget

    • Oversee weekly inventory counts and ordering

    • Maintain accurate product rotation and minimal waste

    • Ensure cash-handling procedures and POS reconciliation are accurate

    • Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings

    5. Safety, Cleanliness & Compliance

    • Enforce health department standards and food safety protocols

    • Maintain cleanliness checklists and brand presentation requirements

    • Ensure team follows dress code, grooming, and professionalism expectations

    • Address equipment needs and coordinate maintenance with HQ

    6. Communication & Reporting

    • Discuss weekly updates on sales, labor, challenges, and wins

    • Keep Operations informed of team issues, local trends, or emerging risks

    • Maintain POS updates and ensure menu changes are executed correctly

  • Historians trace the harvest of coffee beans to surrounding countries of Yemen, but most agree that it was Yemenites who first brewed it to drink. Qamaria Coffee offers traditional Yemeni coffee and tea beverages to the masses. As a barista, you will have the opportunity to delight customers with a variety of delicious beverages, using traditional Yemeni brew methods infused with unique spices. As a small business, you can take pride in serving and personalizing your interactions with local customers and create authentic and personalized connections.

    Responsibilities:

    • Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs to create order and tender totals using register.

    • Educates customers by presenting and explaining the menu and answering questions pertaining to products.

    • Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following recipes and preparation techniques for drinks, such as Yemeni traditional, espressos, and smoothies.

    • Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and other items for coffee bar.

    • Keeps equipment operating by following training and performing preventive maintenance.

    • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.

    • Assists with the washing of dishes, utensils, cups, and saucers using proper techniques.

    • Continues to improve quality results from customer feedback as well as maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.

    Prior Experience

    None required. Prior Barista experience preferred.

HQ Roles

  • To own and operationalise the entire global franchise growth pipeline — from prospect generation through to franchise agreement signing. The Franchise Development Manager (FDM) ensures every new partner embodies Qamaria’s mission of “enriching lives globally through Yemeni coffee”, and every expansion advances the brand’s vision “to lead a worldwide movement that makes Yemeni coffee the most authentic and celebrated coffee experience on earth.”

    This role protects Qamaria’s long-term brand integrity by ensuring only aligned, values-driven partners enter the system.”

    Reporting Line:

    The Franchise Development Manager reports directly to the Founder & CEO

    Authority Level:

    • Owns the global franchise pipeline end-to-end.

    • First-line qualification authority for all prospects.

    • Recommends candidates for approval; final sign-off resides with the Founder & CEO.

    • Authority to request information, updates, and collateral from Operations, Marketing, and

    • Finance as required to advance prospects through the pipeline.

    Core Objectives

    • Build and manage a global franchise development pipeline — systemised, transparent, and values-based.

    • Attract, assess, and qualify prospects in alignment with Qamaria’s values and brand standards.

    • Oversee all lead management systems and marketing funnels to ensure efficiency and data integrity.

    • Guide prospects from first contact to signed agreement, ensuring fit, readiness, and alignment at every stage.

    • Provide market intelligence and insights to support expansion planning and prioritization.

    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, and Legal to deliver a seamless onboarding handover.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Pipeline & Systems Management

    • Design, implement, and maintain a CRM-driven franchise pipeline (e.g., HubSpot or similar).

    • Track lead progress through defined funnel stages: Lead Discovery Due Diligence Validation Approval Agreement.

    • Develop and monitor KPIs for pipeline conversion, lead source ROI, and prospect quality.

    • Produce monthly reports for founder review on active opportunities, status, and forecasted signings.

    • Ensure all prospect data is accurate, GDPR-compliant, and globally consistent.

    2. Lead Generation & Marketing

    • Manage franchise marketing campaigns across digital and physical channels (LinkedIn, franchise portals, paid media, expos).

    • Collaborate with creative and marketing partners to ensure consistent brand tone and storytelling.

    • Develop region-specific prospecting strategies to support international growth priorities.

    • Track performance analytics on campaign reach, engagement, and conversion to enquiry.

    3. Prospect Engagement & Qualification

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all franchise enquiries globally.

    • Lead initial discovery calls and assess alignment against Qamaria’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

    • Conduct due diligence and background checks on financial capacity, hospitality experience, and cultural fit.

    • Guide qualified prospects through the Qamaria discovery process (including Discovery Days and brand immersion).

    • Ensure each candidate understands operational expectations, brand standards, and support frameworks.

    4. Franchise Evaluation & Approval

    • Present qualified candidates to the founder for review and decision.

    • Coordinate preparation and execution of franchise agreements with legal counsel.

    • Support financial modeling and territory analysis for each proposed market.

    • Maintain a running log of approved, deferred, and declined candidates with rationale for learning loops.

    5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with Operations to ensure smooth handover from signed partner to pre-opening onboarding.

    • Liaise with Marketing to ensure launch communications and PR align with Qamaria’s brand tone.

    • Work with Finance to monitor deposit receipts, fee structures, and compliance milestones.

    • Feed learnings from market engagement into product, supply, and brand development decisions.

    6. Reporting & Founder Support

    • Deliver a structured monthly Franchise Development Report covering:

    • Lead generation metrics

    • Conversion rates

    • Prospect quality trends

    • Pipeline forecast (3–6 month view)

    • Identified risks/opportunities

    • Advise the founder on market prioritisation and potential master franchise candidates.

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Lead-to-Discovery conversion rate ≥ 25%

    • Discovery-to-Signed conversion rate ≥ 10%

    • Average time from enquiry to signing ≤ 90 days

    • Prospect satisfaction rating ≥ 90% (post-process survey)

    • CRM accuracy ≥ 98%

  • The Warehouse Worker supports Qamaria’s distribution and logistics operations by ensuring accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of all products to branches, franchisees, and partners. This role upholds Qamaria’s commitment to reliability, quality, and operational efficiency.

    This position is essential to maintaining smooth supply chain operations that fuel Qamaria’s growth.

    Reporting Structure

    Reports to: Warehouse Manager or Operations Manager

    Core Responsibilities

    1. Receiving & Quality Checks

    • Unload trucks and shipments safely

    • Inspect incoming goods for damage or inaccuracy

    • Verify purchase orders and document discrepancies

    • Label and store all items in proper locations

    2. Picking, Packing & Order Fulfillment

    • Select items based on pick lists or digital orders

    • Verify accuracy: product, quantity, and condition

    • Pack orders securely to prevent damage during transport

    • Stage shipments for delivery or carrier pickup

    • Meet daily fulfillment deadlines

    3. Inventory Control

    • Participate in inventory counts

    • Report low stock alerts or variances

    • Track bin locations and maintain product organization

    • Support cycle counts and reconciliation processes

    4. Warehouse Organization & Maintenance

    • Keep aisles clear, products organized, and workstations clean

    • Follow FIFO rotation for coffee and perishable goods

    • Dispose of waste and recyclables correctly

    • Maintain safety standards and follow equipment protocols

    5. Equipment Use & Safety

    • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar equipment

    • Perform basic equipment maintenance (e.g., battery charging, cleaning)

    • Report malfunctions immediately

    6. Cross-Department Support

    • Coordinate with the Roastery, Fulfillment, and Operations teams

    • Assist with container unloads, pallet building, and special projects

    • Help prepare kits or product bundles for seasonal campaigns
